Evan Calbi is a writer and communications professional. His writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Valparairso Fiction Review, and other publications. He co-edited the anthology, L.A. Exile; A Guide to Los Angeles Writing, and wrote a commemorative book about beloved violinist and pedagogue, Eudice Shapiro.

He’s led communications offices in higher education and the arts for over fifteen years. He values inclusive initiatives that highlight organizations in creative ways, and he most enjoys searching for storytelling opportunities in his strategies.

He is a graduate of Occidental College, the University of Southern California, and the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College. He lives in Barcelona.
